Angels & Demons: Dominion by Simon Duggan

An extraordinary test of second sight. A forgotten Victorian examination.
And an outcome that defies all reason.

From Dead Rebel Magic.

In 1893, a clandestine society known as The Society of the 54 devised an unusual examination to determine whether prospective members possessed the elusive gift of second sight.
The test was deceptively simple.
Twenty-six illustrated cards. Thirteen depicting celestial beings. Thirteen representing their infernal counterparts.
The candidate was required to separate the angels from the demons, making each decision without ever seeing the face of a card.
But there was a curious twist.
Halfway through the examination, the dominions were reversed. What had once belonged to the angels now belonged to the demons, and vice versa.
Surely, under such impossible conditions, the outcome could only be left to chance?

And yet, the impossible happens.

Angels & Demons: Dominion is Dead Rebel Magic's atmospheric reimagining of one of the greatest card effects ever conceived, inspired by the genius of Paul Curry and his legendary Out of This World.

We have taken this extraordinary principle and transported it into a world of Victorian secret societies, forbidden knowledge and celestial mysteries.
The result is an astonishing demonstration in which your participant makes every decision, apparently separating the forces of Heaven and Hell through nothing more than intuition.
And when the cards are finally revealed, the outcome is nothing short of extraordinary.

A beautiful collection of curiosities
The complete deck contains 52 uniquely illustrated cards - 26 angels and 26 demons.
Each card features its own distinctive artwork, creating a remarkable collection of celestial and infernal beings. From beautiful, ethereal angels to terrifying demonic figures, every illustration contributes to the atmosphere of the effect.
The Dominion Examination routine demonstrated in the accompanying tutorial uses just 26 of these cards, leaving the complete 52-card collection available for other presentations and possibilities.
The cards are housed in a specially designed presentation box with a sliding drawer, creating the impression of an unusual artefact discovered in a forgotten archive.
Accompanying the effect is a downloadable reproduction of The Dominion Examination, an imagined Victorian document dated 1893, complete with instructions attributed to Edward T. Bennett, Assistant Secretary to the Society.
The document is available in both aged-paper and clear-background formats, allowing you to create your own convincing historical prop.
A full video tutorial is also provided, guiding you through the workings and presentation.

A timeless miracle, reimagined
There are certain effects in magic that transcend their methods. Paul Curry's Out of This World is unquestionably one of them.
Angels & Demons: Dominion pays tribute to that remarkable creation while offering a distinctive new presentation, steeped in mystery, atmosphere and the eternal struggle between Heaven and Hell.
Fifty-two unique illustrations. Two opposing dominions. One impossible revelation.
Will your participant possess the gift of second sight?

Please Note: The presentation box is supplied unaged, allowing you to add your own ageing effects if desired. The Victorian-style examination documents shown in the photographs are not included as physical printed materials.
They are supplied as downloadable files, accessible via the tutorial link provided with your purchase, ready for you to print and age as you wish
